International Walk to School Day wins prestigious international award

Seven Morton Way students participate in a wonderful skit that followed the travels of the Stockholm Partnership for Sustainable Cities Award to date, from Stockholm to the UK, the UK to the US, the US to Ottawa, Canada and from Ottawa to Brampton. One student represented British Columbia, the next stop on the award's Canadian visit and another represented Switzerland - the next country to host the award on its international journey. Green Communities Canada, program manager for Active & Safe Routes to School in Ontario, was proud to be in attendance at the Morton Way event and thanked the students for their Walk to School efforts. Morton Way is encouraging active travel to school and has over 90% of the school participating every Walking Wednesday!
